GETTING TO THE RACE
Information around getting to this event and event parking will be released closer to the event start date.
RACE START & FINISH
The 2023 edition of the African Bank Soweto Marathon will both start & finish at the FNB Stadium, Soweto.
TOG BAG AREA
There will be a dedicated tog bag area available for runners to secure any of their valuables/personal belongings.
HYDRATION STATIONS
There will be dedicated hydration stations for all runners, located every 3 kilometres along the route.
RACE PHOTOGRAPHY
Commercial photographers will be taking photos on route & videographers will be on route for live TV streaming.
METRO POLICE
Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) will be on route to keep route free of traffic and to keep you safe.
RACE DAY SEEDING
Information on seeding for this event will be released closer to the event start date. Please keep an eye out for more.
MEDICAL & FIRST AID
There will be dedicated rapid response vehicles and medical personnel at the start/finish and on the route.
WHAT TO EXPECT
There will be a lead vehicle, marshals to keep you safe on route as well as sweeper vehicles to follow the back runners.
